It is time for autarchy

Did you know that you can make vessels out of flour?

Design firm Formafantasia did.

Simplicity and beauty are exemplified in these vessels made out of 70% flour, 20% agricultural waste, and 10% natural limestone.
Vegetables, spices and roots are used to create the different hues in the bowls, vases and lamps.

The materials are either naturally dessicated or low-temperature baked and are made internally waterproof with a combination of beeswax and pine tar.

The firm  is founded by Italian designers, Andrea Trimarchi and Simone Farresin and is based in Netherlands.
