Tubohotel

Yes it is. The Tubohotel located at Tepoztlan only an hour away from Mexico City. What is it made of? Concrete tubes, actually recycled concrete tubes.

Designers by T3arc came with the strategy to build a hotel quickly and cheaply, without sacrificing the area’s spectacular views.

So they did. Concrete modules were arranged in stacked pyramids of three tubes; the top tube is accessible via a set of stairs. Inside each tube is a queen size bed and curtains to provide some privacy from the windows. The construction took only 3 months and of course the recycled concrete is much more eco friendly as a building material.
