Whatami

“Whatami”. This is how it calls. The colorful new courtyard with red “poppies” designed by the Italian firm stARTT for MAXXI Museum, Italy. StARTT thought to add the cool comfort of nature to the museum, since they found the stark stone a little bit unwelcome. So they incorporate a series of recyclable faux-nature pieces around it. A relaxing, colorful and comfortable area is been designed, with wooden benches and green hills full of tall red poppies. After the courtyard installation has run its course, the elements of Whatami will be recycled. The glrass will be replanted and the sculptured poppies will be replanted in an abandoned part of the city that needs urban rehabilitation.
